
Ok, so during the Jax tall ships festival, I decided to visit the Maritime Museum that was closed last time I came down. To say there isn't a lot there would be generous, but definetely worth the trip just to hear the stories the operators tell of ships from all eras. Above is a large model of the USS Saratoga, which was formerly stationed in JAX, and the model is the centerpiece of the museum. Below is a display of shipbuilding tools.


This is the Naval Jack from the USS Saratoga. Below are a few examples of the many very excellent models that make up most of the museum, and give the operators a visual aid for their tales.
